#2 Chapter 5 (the cooking giants)

Not too long after the giant dwarf left the kids to themselves, Shade had broken an imaginary rule which although was not echoed, but should have been taken into consideration as a first timer. ¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤ Shade left the room to the external domains of the now felt gigantic and enormous building that her own neck could feel itself sliding over its bones. Heniola and Segun could say nothing to the arrogant and over confident girl and just left her be. “Why is that gurl acting too stupid?” Segun asked Heniola “Why…don’t you go ask her, boy” Heniola replied. “huh” Segun muttered. “You just feel bad that you can’t boss her, right?” “I’m trying to fill in for her sister, Grace” “Come on, you are a guy…it’s not going to be possible.” Heniola teased. “And by the way, where did she dissappear to?” “I don’t think i have that answer. Besides, she’s a big gurl and can take care of herself.” “Really? I have a bad feeling about this her ‘taking a break’ stuff”. “Why do you even bother about such feelings, the girl’s got Kingsley, Grey Pigeon and Clumsy Cobra for heaven’s sake girl”. He said. “We should even be more worried about our Travelling team leader, Dik-El.” he added. ¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤ These three and the rest of the world are not aware of the war between Grace, Grey, Cobra and the Efik tribe, and Dark Knight Ajagun and crew. (TJB ch.198-210). Their group leader, Dik-El had mysteriously dissappeared leaving no trace at all (TJB ch.100), although the second in command had been doing well to keep the team together, Dark Flamingo, Sa.** ¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤ Shade on the other hand walks along the wide hallway and a mighty door caught her attention plus something else. Only something that could stimulate her Medulla oblongata could ever draw her undivided attention. She approached the door and it was locked. She tried knocking, but her knock was rather insignificant to hear or notice. Taking a brief look/overview of the hallway down to its beautiful picture frames spacelly arranged on the walls of hallway down and up to the gold paint the wall seemed to extract its plushiness and radiate it beauty. And suddenly, there was a thunderous and loud noise which caught the attention of every living being on Giant Land. “She has done it” Segun smiled in frustration. “I am taking a liking in this girl. She’s a terrorist” Heniola added. Rushing to the direction of the sound, they meet Shade standing over the slammed down door which lay helplessly on the ground. “Now, this is a dream come true” Right across the door was the Giants’ kitchen and there were giant cooks staring at the liliputs that took down their down. It was like an ant taking down my room door. How possible? ¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤ Ofcourse, the aroma of the food drew Shade’s attention and made her act this way. No obstacle stands between Shade and a good bowl of food. The cooking giants were not even surprised and carried on with their cooking. “You must be hungry Miss. Ant?” one of the giants asked, noticing the glare on her face. “uhuh” she replied The others were dead scared and couldn’t mutter a word. “Care for a bowl or a pot?” he inquired. “A pot, please…” Shade was served and so were Heniola and Segun. “good for us, the whole travelling team aint here to shorten my ration of the food.” Segun said in delight. ¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤ The cooking giants soon met their match and they started a competition they could not finish. They cooked and cooked and cooked and served drinks upon drinks to Segun and Shade who excercised the mouth muscles claiming that their efforts were just appetizers. Heniola was not very much surprised at Shade’s height of gluttony as she had been with the Ademola girls since 3rd grade. But, Segun’s own was different. Scared when it comes to a fight and gallant in terms of food. ¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤ Gradually and one at a time, the giants started fainting from cooking stress until they gave up and let them have the bet award. That’s between them. Finally, the giant boss summoned them and they had to leave the kitchen. ¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤
